haha.. went to watch Boom last night.. i must say it is nice!! many very very impressive things! many things to learn from.. suddenly regretting not volunteering for the regina thing.. -sad-

anyway, i think the set design's great!! seriously.. you know i dun like those very detailed designs i mean like i like it as simple as possible.. an this! it's quite detailed know yet very simple as well, i dunnno how to say.. the set's gotta be good for this kinda price! it's ex..

i think the grave especially is very cool! at first it looked like a puny volcano to me, thanks to the light designer! the grave design is just ingenious la! haha.. very nice!!!!! set and light designs are great!

oh and the laundry thing is very cool! i figured out how they did the laundry part.. very 大工程..

during interval i saw how they change set, so ingenious! -IMPRESSED- i just drool down there looking at them changing the set leh..

oh ya, the door got the O$P$ there, but it wasnt there at the start of the show! i wonder when they put it up and HOW.. then i was there throughout the interval, and there's no noise no nothing! when the door's open again, the O$P$ sign's gone! i wonder how they do it sial.. i think i should go and join SRT one day.. maybe after i graduate from HTB.. but SRT need audition to join one leh, i scared, haha..

light design is quite nice quite nice.. but i thought i can see more use of color gels.. but i didnt.. wanna learn la, but they nv use on ppl much, except during flashback scenes.. it gives you the old photograph kinda feeling, you know, coz they use orangey light, like yellowed photographs.. then the person in present will be in dim blueish light.. all in all it's nice it's nice! (:

OH OH! one more thing about the light design is the goboes! a total of 2 goboes used.. the office and under the tree.. i like the tree one, very nice (:.. if you look at the shadow on the stage, it looked like another tree on the floor coz the painted roots on the stage..

and the office gobo, it had an interesting effect on me! i dunno if you're supposed to feel this way, it gave me a suffocating/pressurizing feeling.. felt like a jail and the gate's on top, you cant reach it..

sound design also very nice! i like the typing part in the office, very cute and funny, haha.. but the sound operator super lag la, must be sleeping! i think the sound designer and director wanna murder that guy le..

i think director and playwright very clever.. especially the scene when ah beng sebastian tan fights, where past and present co-exists in that moment.. it just somehow managed to tug a string in your heart..

mark said he thinks charmaine ang not very good as the boss.. hmm i guess, but the rest of her roles are quite good.. i like her canto accent, very funny.. but she very good leh can speak canto and hokkien!

i like the script, it's about kinship too yet very funny and sad.. i think the reason why it's good is coz it's funny, while we always try to make it very emo, then it becomes too tacky, too cliche (with the thing on the e), too passe (with the thing on the e).. the thing is Boom is funny yet sad, ya..

and oh, it's also very Singaporean! full of singlish and hokkiens.. very close to heart, maybe we can be more like that! since we're hokkien huay guan! i like the walau eh/wa lan eh then black out kinda effect..

OH talking about blackouts, i agree with mark! there are too many blackouts, making the play a bit choppy, every scene change they blackout.. but actually i think it's not necessary one, i learnt from my lesson! oh well..


oh ya, i think the zachery ho (who acted as the corpse) sounds like fengkuang! haha..

i enjoyed myself last night! boom boom boom boom.. tatax~

WORD challenge
whee! im addicted to facebook word challenge! coz mark asked me to play using his account! HEEHEE! so fun! ((:

anyway as all of you know about the china tainted milk.. i consumed a lot of the brands that are removed from shelf leh!! sian.. i think im going to die.. i drank the monmilk before leh!! -__-|| and dutch lady STRAWBERRY flavour! only recently leh! :( of course the da bai tu candy, i bet everyone eat before!! diao, walau.. so irresponsible one leh..

next time see china products cannot buy.. see china produced many problematic product before! like now milk (causing a lot of other food cannot eat like chocolates and all, my favourite!) and toys, just to name 2 of the most famous ones!

-cries- i think i'll die younger, if not a few years then maybe a few months.. :'(

-sad- meanwhile i'll play word challenge to cheer myself up.. tatax~

STUPID CKP
i was ALMOST on time for liv today!! yay! i really used my stomach (or rather nearer the abdomen there?) muscles during warm up today until im too tired to use it when singing later on, oops! i'll work harder!

after liv went to slack at macs with mark and jasper until jazzy had to leave for the very un-retro retro party.. he was just wearing normal t-shirt and berms la! where got retro! next time dun invite jasper to retro parties! haha..

had dinner then went mark's house watch man U vs chelsea and they draw, haha. i also dun really care who win who lose.. just thought cristiano ronaldo was quite cute today.. you know sometimes he can be quite ugly and all? lol.. XP

after that i went to take 88 home.. i think i was taking the 2nd last bus.. so i took, all the way it was a peaceful and pleasant trip until this uncle who stinks of beer and cigarette boarded the bus.. he sat right nx to me, even there were a lot of other seats available.. and he placed his left hand very near to my right thigh.. and he was leaning quite close to me.. and he stuck out he's left pinky and try to touch my thigh leh! walau stupid CKP!

so i AHEM! then lifted my bag and bang on my legs in a way that it banged him as well and i glared at him directly.. then he looked for the bell and he alighted!

WALAU EH! i suspect this is the 2nd time i met him ok! coz last time, ALSO on 88, i met this uncle who also stinks, but wad smell i cant remember la, he also stuck out his left pinky to try and touch my thigh and he's dark dark one!

that time i was sitting on the upper deck so i stood up and glared at him (but i forgot how he looked like already) for him to move so i can get out of my seat, and i shifted downstairs.. but today i was sitting on the lower deck, which i thought would be safer coz everyone stare at one another one.. coz it's like everyone will be able to see one another kind, or so i thought..

the last time i also took 88 at ard the same time.. and i was wearing shorts, so i thought maybe that's why.. BUT today i was wearing CARGO PANTS! he still try and touch me! now now, dun say wad girls wear till very revealing, they get molested or raped, they asked for it ok! coz maybe that guy is plain pervert, he go for age or wad.. so it's not our fault already!

so girls, if you take 88 very late, be careful of this perverted uncle ok! the next time i see him im going to shout at him, "OEI UNCLE, WHAT YOU TRYING TO DO? STEAL MY THINGS OR MOLEST ME? YOU BELIEVE I'LL CALL POLICE NOT, HUH! SI CHEE KO PEK!"

better not let me see him again.. tatax~

it's been some time
yea it has been some time since i last blogged! anyway today's the last day to vote for my korkor!

i heard some channel news asia ppl gonna interview him too.. oh well, wish him luck then..

i havent been very busy actually, just busy watching shows online and boiling water everyday, coz my parents are overseas again, so im the one boiling water and watering the plants, haha! and occasionally doing the laundry..

HAIS! quite sian now, im addicted to chi's sweet home this anime from japan! really cute! catch it on crunchyroll/youtube.. crunchyroll would be a better choice, coz some of youtube's not subbed.. but i've finished all 83 episodes that are being uploaded, still waiting for the rest to be subbed!!! ):

it's a really short anime, each episode only 3 minutes, about this lil kitten which got lost and is taken in by a family.. very funny and cute! reminds me a lot of my cat, except my cat very fierce and not as cute as the chi..

so let's see i've watched 83 episodes, which means......
83 x 3min = 249min = 4hr 9min

ok la, i only spent 4hrs watching these 83 episodes, hahaha! XP more to come! ((:

last night me, mark, gideon and yuklum went clarke quay for the lantern display thingie! but it's not really very nice la, ok only.. but we had a lot of fun! haha.. the 3 of them kept poking ppl's displays.. haha.. after that had porridge for supper at chinatown, then talk for very long then go home.. i was so sleepy la! very long very sleep this late le.. i've been trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle!

i finished watching the show already! so sad know, 杨七郎 died, he's the cutest son in the show! hahaha.. but then ya just very sad keep crying..

after that i went to read up on wiki and some other websites about this 杨家将 thing, and guess wad? it's just a story, the real thing's not like that one! 杨六郎杨延昭 is actually the eldest son!! hahaha! and there are no such person as 佘太君, 穆桂英 and 杨宗保! all these are fictional one leh......

how interesting! and my dad kept thinking 穆桂英 is 杨宗保's mum, but actually she's his wife! haha.. aiya just damn interesting, got a lot of characters, fact or fiction!

in fact the 杨业 didnt die on 金沙滩, but somewhere else, after he was caught by the khitans..

just a damn long and messy story, coz there are many versions! ok la, i shall sign off here, coz i doubt anyone will read this post anyway! haha.. tatax~

turandot
went for the last performance of turandot last night..

it was...... act 1 very scary, the male chorus like eeee! then after that ok le, i think coz no more male chorus' solo, the female chorus cover them le!

hmmmm, i think mark's right, all those choral ppl standing at the side, acting as villagers, didnt mingle among themselves, like down there watching opera with us also.. only got a few of them talk to ppl nx to them once in a while.. the rest of the time they just stone on stage..

and i dun like the subtitle, i think red words very straining for the eyes, yuklum said it's standardised by esplanade, so they've no choice, maybe can suggest to esplanade then! red is really straining la.. maybe should try like light grey, white or green?

i dun really like the stage design leh, coz they are too elaborate for me, but not as elaborate as la traviata's.. and according to their style, they like the set very different for different scene, then i think they're not very successful, coz they looked very similar.. set change is not obvious, maybe even same..

next the follow spot looks a bit too small leh, only can shine on the main characters' waist up.. i wonder why.. it cant be esplanade's light leh, coz i heard they have the most expensive lights! either the light designer chose some other kinds of lights as follow spot, of nv open up the degree big enough. coz if the degree too small, it's very difficult for the technician to control the hot spot to be forever on the actor's face.. also the follow spots are of diff sizes.. the spot just cant be too small, coz you're supposed to shine it on the whole person, not just his waist up! dunno wad happened..

i like the prop lantern! you know those lantern in the past are lighted up using canles so they flicker! and they managed to make light bulbs flicker! so clever.. flicker like those lights on christmas trees.. i like that one best!

and i also like the gradual change of light from night to dawn.. and the gradient of the lights, orange to orangey red to orange again.. like the sun like that..

and the korean guy acting as calaf very good ah.. (: so is turandot herself!

oh cannot hear the emperor leh, dunno why.. projection of the actor or the design of the theatre? zz was right everything like very distant like that, like watching tv, haha.. and there isnt the big bang feeling of the last night.

ok la so much said, but i quite enjoyed myself! (: except for the girl in front of me, she kept leaning forward until i cant see and had to lean forward too! i overheard the bunch in front, they came to watch this coz they had to write some theatre review..

after that we met up with joey and cheryl lee, then we all went home le, coz it's sucha long opera, we cannot afford to eat supper or we'll risk missing the last train home!!

zz still owe me money for the ticket!

i forgot to say i got bruises on my shins! coz jasper kicked me during photo shoot!!

yesterday was photo shooting day! but i've got no black pants! so i wore black shorts! hahaha, with high-cut sneakers, then jasper kept saying im wearing my tomb raider outfit again..

anyway after prac, we just lazed ard the music room until photo shoot.. mean time we ordered pizza! but got ppl haven't pay me back! -broke-

photo shoot was quite fun la, haha.. stupid mark keep making stupid comments make ppl laugh and the photographer cant take photos.. haha. but a lot of shots my face covered leh! walau, mr photographer......

the jump shots quite fun! i like! (: we took one cool shot, everyone stand in one straight row according to height one, very nice and cool, coz like wad the photographer said, all or us wearing diff shoes! (: and mark kept saying very nice hor, but why got a pair of legs.. which is mine! coz the rest all wear pants except me! but im in the middle, so it doesn't look THAT weird LAH!

after that went for supper! then went home lo! to my young warriors of the yang clan! everyone died LEH! -SAD-

went to watch wall-e with mark mark just now! but we got very front seats, watch until i almost died.. just felt very uncomfortable throughout the whole movie, wanna vomit.. but wall-e very cute! (: but a bit draggy, a bit long-winded, a bit boring.. to much running ard, too much collecting rubbish and making into metal cubes! too much running ard..

and i felt super uneasy la! -nauseous- coz of the front seats.. but i was quite sad when wall-e almost died! and when he lost his memory of eve.. actually i didnt expect a lot from this animation already, but im still a bit disappointed with it..

anyway those who've watched did you notice something about the earth in the animation? got skeleton face! the plot is educational lor, that's all i'll say! wall-e & eve are cute lor, that's all!

oh oh! the short animation before wall-e started is very very cute!! the magician with his magic hat! the rabbit's sooooo cute!! at 1st i thought it's a soft toy leh!! i think it's drawn by those who did ratatouille! the rabbit's just damn adorable! ((: but also a bit draggy i think!

anyway after the movie, we ate at ps food court, the indonesian food stall! very niceee! i like that stall but always need to queue for so long..

home and watched 2 more episodes of my young warriors of the yang clan i think i can finish the whole show by this/nx week at this rate.. (:
