RIP, MJ
personally, MJ had been a figure that always seem to be there. sometimes hidden, but always alive one. i like his songs know. and recently mark was talking watching MJ live some day, since MJ's holding world tour. so i was quite looking forward to it. i've nv watched him live before, and i've been moved by some of his songs just by watching his MTVs. we love watching his MTVs, listening to his songs, my cousins and i. so i was quite shock when mark morning call me and told me the news. ):

so i finished publishing most photos before leaving house to meet yl at kovan. and 82 is really quite fast! i took the bus at around 3pm and reached kovan in like 15min time! WOW! yl and i walked to wing tai building where the g2000 factory outlet sale is and went in! thanks for the tips, jiemin!

managed to get a black skirt and a brown blouse. but not a blazer, coz only the large sizes are left. the nice ones are like ex, no point. i'd rather buy the online blazer! or borrow from my cousin. bought a belt too! only to find it too big for me after i got home! lols! damn.

gideon came and picked us up to go town for more shopping. we sorta dragged him out, without knowing where to go though, heh. so we went town for further shopping!

gideon bought 2 pairs of jeans from gap, coz there's sale. and i bought one pair of black pants from mango coz its kinda nice and i thought its reasonably priced! all the things i bought add up, is only slightly more than one pair of jeans he bought!

SO, he checked out braun buffel wallets at metro and yl managed to persuade him to go tangs instead. coz there's supposedly discount as her friend's working there. but later on, it turned out that i was the one with 15% discount, coz im a singtel customer! woohoo! but the wallet story later.

had dinner at ding tai feng, very unsatisfying, i must agree with gideon! seemed to have eaten a lot but not filling, not shiok one. but said a lot of stupid jokes, laughed a lot, cant remember what already! yuklum was sleeping through the dinner! haha.

we guessed the chinese tea and i got it right! haha! ding tai feng at paragon serves xiang pian NOT pu er i guessed xiang pian coz i thought pu er seemed too expensive for them to serve. the former is more likely, though i have no idea, just judging by the name and i got it right! YES! but i still paid for my dinner, although i thought someone said dunnit to pay for dinner. walau. i guess coz no one agreed. haha. risky.

after dinner, it was a bit late and tangs was about to close! so we rushed there to check out the braun buffel wallets there! and THIS is what happened (according to my memory):

gideon: no one is attending to me.......
tong: (randomly saying) hello..
staff: (walks over, cant remember if she said yes, let's take it that she did..) yes?
gideon: i'm looking for wallets with ... without ... can you show me?
staff: (takes out wallets and walks away)
gideon, yuklum, tong: (small talks)
yuklum: this clear id holder is too small.. (pointing to one wallet)
tong: so it this! (holding up another)
staff: (walks back)
yuklum: but this one got another bigger one.. (points to the one im holding)
tong: orh........
staff: actually this one also got a big one.. (takes out a detachable card holder)
gideon: liddat will lose easily ma, i already lost my WHOLE wallet leh.. (some more random things)
staff: why you so careless..
gideon: (a bit pek cek but tried to smile) if i not careless then you no business..
staff: nvm one, i still have a lot of other customers to buy from me..
gideon: ok lor! (walks off)
yuklum and tong: ??? (blur.. then walks off too)

HAHAHA! the staff is so rude la! walau. but the conversation is super funny! when we're like 10m away,
gideon: (loudly) i have lotsa money to spend else where!

i think the staff thinks we're not interested to buy from her, firstly! and secondly she's looking down on us and thinks we (or rather gideon) cant afford, coz we wear lok kok lok kok. especially me, in my usual tshirt, shorts and slippers. lol! but the point is. WHERE GOT PPL SERVE LIKE THIS ONE!!

after that yl went to find her friend and talked for very long until tangs closed. then we went off lo!

ok i've finished my story of the day! too bad, mark was at PLAY, the gay club, having a meeting for the very gay NUS arts bash! well, he's hosting ma! too bad baby you missed the fun! i guess you had fun too, haha.

back from VN
in fact i was back on friday morn.. was a great but tiring trip! very rush, partly coz the trip's a bit short i guess. but it was fun all the same! met new ppl, saw new things! have uploaded photos on shutterfly, but no onto share site yet. will do so after i've added the captions though! and prolly add some preview photos here!

LIV is starting in 10min time and im still home! hurr... bleahs! anyways, after holidays, i always have this very empty feeling. like some part of me is lost in the other country. i wanna come home la, but i dun wanna at the same time. wanna stay longer! the holiday is really too short..

anyways, the hotel staff are really very very nice! highly recommend Xuan Mai Hotel in District 1 of HCMC! the big boss is very very friendly, so is the manager and other staff..

will be updating more soon, coz im supposed to be getting ready to leave house, haha. tatax~

am bored.. been playing restaurant city and mouse hunt the whole day, haha.. bleahs! i wanna go out! wanna go town, go shopping and splurge! ok not exactly, im not that rich. but i need to buy business suits, stupid business suits! but i have no idea what to buy, most prob go G2000 or what. and of course some random shopping for myself. i wanna buy shorts, nice nice shorts.

mark's gonna scold me for spending. but...... i got nothing else to do now ma! heehee. and i've saved a little ma! then go vietnam maybe can shop A LITTLE bit la. i have yet to find out what we can do there. shall go ask around! heh..

ok i've been wanting to email my lecturer about some stuff but either i keep forgetting or im just plain lazy. sry, it's always the laziness and busyness and issues. interesting how they rhyme too! ok la, i shall email right away!

i downloaded the new msn! and im figuring it out now. a bit confused. i dunno how to change color and thickness for the drawing tool, basically no customisation at all. and the fonts as well! maybe i need to restart my comp 1st. but confused! i wanna change my window colour also cant! walau! i want the old one BACK! -sob sob-

anyway went liv yesterday, i was late as usual but to my GREAT surprise, there wasnt anybody there except mark, joey and jasper.. so pathetic la! they said last week was also like that. well last week i was home doing project so i have no way of knowing..

but anyways, yuklum, hector and cat came later.. i was already almost 1 and a half hour late, so you can imagine how late they were la!

we had dinner at s11, coz i had cravings for BBQ chicken wings and fresh prawns! but in the end yl and i had kueh chap and i was too full and only had one chicken wing! but yummy, it's nice!

after that, joey, jasper, cat, mark and i went for this vocal workshop as observer at verve music school. quite interesting, conducted by Amanda Colliver, instructor for nicole kidman and ewan mcgregor in moulin rouge, hugh jackman in beauty and the beast and sunset boulevard.. some big shot la and she's good!

every participant really improved quite a bit after she talked to them, corrected them.. very very impressive! but she focused more on feeling rather than technique. she said you should work towards what end result you want and all the whatever techniques will fall into place.. hey hey, so much for lowering of larynx, flattening your tongue, have a feeling of vomiting/sh*tting. hmmmm.. oh well! heh..

after that went mark's place to watch tennis, federer vs soderling, french open men's final.. watch till i fell asleep, hahaha! sry la, it's boring to me ma.. mark said insisted it's not but he also fell asleep, pigs! he will definitely claim that it's due to he's lack of sleep..

anyway when i woke with a start, i saw federer win. haha.

went prawning after, at bishan, next to the golf course. with gideon, mark and jasper. i think i'm quite talented! coz it's my first my prawning and i caught 4 in the 2 hours of prawning whereas gideon only caught 2! bleahs.. mark and jasper merely sat there and watch. coz i dun wanna go if no one's going ma. and gideon dun wanna go if only got mark and i. so we dragged 2 other person in who werent keen on prawning.

but that's besides the point. so the 2 of us had 3 prawns each! the prawning part is fun but the killing part is gross! it was super disgusting la, poking under the shell of a live (though dying, but still alive!) prawn to bbq alive. urgggg..

disgusting it is, inhumane it is, the prawn is really fresh and taste quite nice, just too salty, think we added too much salt. maybe partly coz its free. err..

i think next time i go prawning i dun wanna eat le.. i go NTUC buy dead prawns to eat, at least i nv see it die. at least i didnt kill it to eat it. at least someone else did the job and the last face the prawn saw wasnt mine.

long break from blogging
it's been 2 months since i last blogged, which is damn super long! what to do? with these super tiring blocks subject for the past 2 months. i hardly had time to rest well, much less blog! if it wasn't for project i wouldn't even have touched my laptop, which is all dusty now, and a bit laggy due to lack of maintenance..

but anyways! a lot has happened these 2 months (well, duh!).. and i've grown stronger physically and mentally! i think la.. haha.. anyway, the end of execution day means the start of holiday! and this holiday im going to the h1n1 infected area, ho chi min, vietnam.. but it's better than sg i feel, the fact that they have less cases than us. i dun understand why my parents are so unhappy about it. ok fine, i'll go get flu vaccine.. but it's not even h1n1 vaccine lor..

and im down with flu now, haha. it had been spreading in my class for the last week of service operations.

anyway, i've been uploading photos, from the past 2 months, to my laptop, and now transferring onto shutterfly.. which as usual will take forever, especially when i have so many photos! ok la, i dun really have a lot of photos to upload, just a few albums, haha. but i dun have a lot of time to upload, coz im going for liv today! been mia for 3 weeks, coz im either too tired/busy rushing projects..

stupid la, i still end up doing bulk of the project. shows that im not a very good leader in dedicating jobs. but surprisingly, some ppl like me being their leader.. that im both glad and worried to hear.. coz i dun really like being the main person in charge. i like having at least one more position above me, then i wun feel so suffocating. bleahs!

yesterday was the 1st day of my holiday and i slept the WHOLE day la. can you imagine how tired i was. lack of sleep for days or weeks.. HAIS! tiring sia, this sem.. but im glad the tough part is over now. the more relaxing blocks await me, and im quite happy about it! and those are the professional comm skills and service excellence sh*t, means i have to go shopping for business suits, wth..

i guess that's partly the reason why i wanna do hostel instead, it is more casual, friendly and personal, less formality and those stupid suits.. i hate all these acts and i dunno really know how to deal with it when i have to pretend. i feel quite disgusted about all these hypocrites.

ok la, i better go and bathe and get ready to go loh! shall continue to upload photos tonight and maybe upload some here as well, tatax~
